Akon – Bollywood, Here I Come!

The king of Bollywood, Shahrukh Khan is said to have met Akon, the “Sorry Blame It On Me” singer in Los Angeles and discussed about Western and Indian music.Both of the director and the king wanted an international singer to make an appearance in the movie, and guess who suggested Akon? – Shahrukh Khan!

Akon who will be singing a song for Shahrukh Khan’s new movie “Ra.One”, is reportedly to be one of the casts in that movie. This science fiction superhero film is written by David Benullo, who previously worked on Shadow Man, and directed by Anubhav Sinha. Other Filmfare winners such as Kareena Kapoor as well as Vivek Oberoi are said to be acting alongside with the king of Bollywood.

In the film, Shahrukh Khan acts as Shekhar, a Miami software engineer. Among other locations for this film shooting is Miami where the king’s wife is the producer. Some resources said that Akon was signed for a huge amount of money.

Rajan Zed, the Indo-American statesman welcomes Hollywood’s and Bollywood’s music collaboration. Akon who has made about 300 or more guest appearances has 40 hits in Billboard Hot 100 songs in his 14 years of career. He may be tough on music, but what about acting? Regardless of what the story is, Akon should not appear beside Shahrukh Khan in the movie because Shahrukh’s talent will be so overwhelming that Akon will feel so small beside him. And he might hit the club with Kareena Kapoor, if he is lucky.
