Lady Gaga

According to her most recent interview with Rolling Stone, Lady Gaga has finished recording her new album, which she plans to release sometime in the beginning of next year, which gives her more than enough time to continue concentrating on her never-ending tour.

Lady Gaga told the magazine her new album is going to be more bitter and serious compared to her hit album, The Fame, and might change some fans' outlook on her life. She had this to say about the album: "I think I'm gonna get the album title tattooed on me and put out the photo. I've been working on it for months now, and I feel very strongly that it's finished right now. It came so quickly. Some artists take years; I don't. I write music every day. I have been for three years baking cakes -- and now I'm going to bake a cake that has a bitter jelly. The message of the new music is now more bitter than it was before. Because the sweeter the cake, the more bitter the jelly can be." I'm not too sure anyone really knows what the hell she's talking about, but she makes it more than obvious that she thinks she can do whatever she want now. And with the whole statement about her being quicker and not taking as long as other artists, is that supposed to be impressing? I'm more than sure that anyone that can conjure the patience to make such cliche pop music can do the same thing she did, and make it even quicker. Obviously she deserves credit for the constant touring and such, but with stuck up statements like that, she's not impressing anyone, and on another note, certainly not impressing people with her antics.

One person that speaks for a lot of us is Jerry Seinfeld, who shared his feelings on the star after she acted out at a recent Mets vs. Yankees game, and gave the paparazzi the finger, while moving into the comedians box seats to have more privacy. Seinfeld had this to say on the incident: "You give people the finger and you get upgraded? Is that the world we're living in now? This woman is a jerk. I hate her. I can't believe they put her in my box, which I paid for. I don't know what these young people think or how they promote their careers. I'm not one of these all-publicity-is-good people. People talk about 'You need exposure' --- you could die of exposure." Although Gaga had nothing to say about Jerry's comments, she did tweet on her actions, saying: "A middle finger is more New York than a corporate ambush. I bleed for my hometown, and I'd die for my fans."

As a New Yorker myself, and a young one, I still fully agree with Mr. Seinfeld. Lady Gaga, you're an idiot, and you make the younger crowd seem stupider and stupider with every "cool" thing you try to do. Of course, though, people will always keep feeding her ridiculous antics, and making her crave more and more attention. If someone asked me who I was proud of sharing my hometown with, Lady Gaga would either be the last person I would ever name, or the reason I move. Thank you Jerry for saying what a bunch of us would love to tell the public. And as for you Lady Gaga, seriously, just stop, and get out. Yeah you may have a lot of fans, but there's just as many people that hate you, and you need to realize that, and respect it; just like we try to respect the fact that you're a celebrity.
