Gaga marked this occasion with a video posted to YouTube titled, “An Inaugural Message from Tween Gaga.” Sure, adding the words Queen and Twitter together makes the word Tween, but tween is also used to define a 10-to-12-year-old who takes on the social attributes of a teenager. So, the image of a tween Gaga makes one think of a very inappropriately dressed pre-pubescent girl with oversized sunglasses dancing to the lyrics, “I want your ugly, I want your disease / I want your everything as long as it’s free.” Gaga may want to rephrase the term Tween Gaga before she starts to get a bunch of YouTube comments from upset pedophile trolls.
She should stick to the term Twitter Queen — as long as Perez Hilton doesn’t have a problem with her taking this title away from him.
She starts the video with a close up of her wearing a sequenced and lace hat with a jewel encrusted lowercase “t” Twitter logo. She waves her wand, which makes a Tinkerbell noise, and says hello to her Little Monsters.
“Hello world. This is Lady Gaga, Queen of Twitter. I wanted to thank all of my beautiful Little Monsters for following me. Thank you for beginning my reign as Twitter Queen. May you always have soft cuticles while Tweeting. May you never have carpal tunnel.”
Who knew Lady Gaga was funny?
A little bird starts to tweet — do you now understand the logo? — and Gaga speaks directly to the fake parakeet “flying” in front of her. She once again thanks her fans, and then eats the bird.
While chewing she says, “See you at the Monster Ball.”
Lady Gaga sends an inaugural message to all of her Little Monsters as the newly crowned Queen of Twitter, live from backstage at The Monster Ball in Tacoma!
