B) A lunatic who had a gift card to Party City USA and purchased a horse costume and some gold spray paint.
C) The drummer for a little known Indie Rock Band named Sherwood in order to get some attention for their other videos posted on YouTube.
If you answered C, you are correct although A or B would have been plausible answers. And the ploy seemed to have worked.
If looking at Sherwood’s YouTube video page, the band had less than 10,000 total views for nine of their video uploads. As of Thursday March 18, 2010 they have more than 200,000 for their spoof of Ke$sha’s song “Blah Blah Blah.”
Dressed up in a gold outfit, wearing Ke$ha’s iconic Clockwork Orange eye makeup, the video introduces us to MiKe$ha lip synching the track while being surrounded by half-naked guys wearing lion heads. The video continues to show MiKe$ha in a number of different outfits dancing seductively to the music. Seductively may not be the right word to describe his dance style. Maybe vomit-inducing is a better description.
The video has no correlation to Ke$ha’s actual video for “Blah Blah Blah,” which shows the star ignoring all sorts of guys while hanging out at a video arcade similar to the scene in the original Karate Kid where Elisabeth Shue gets upset with Daniel-son.
Some viewers will think this video is clever, and some will think it is just a clever way to get the attention of a bigger audience. Either way, no viewer will get the sight of MiKe$sha’s big white belly out of their minds for quite some time.
