The song and video for “She Got It Made,” off of the upcoming album Goon Affiliated by Plies is one that stereotypically paints rappers as money-obsessed thugs whose goal in life is to spend a ton of cash on a stereotypical video ho.

Well, at least Plies’s video ho does not start off as one. At the beginning of the video, she’s just a typical homeless girl dreaming that one day she will be able to wear fancy clothes. After Plies, real name Algernod Lanier Washington, sees her staring into a luxury store he makes a plan to give this street urchin the Pretty Woman treatment.

Plies raps, “I’m looking for one female that I can turn into a spoiled brat. I wanna spoil you seven days-a-week. I’ll buy you Gucci and Prada and fly you all around the world, because you so much hotter than all them other girls.”

Apparently the original version of the song did not involve a homeless girl living on the streets. Never mind that small plot hole. Plies heads off to a photo shoot where he tells the photographer to give the homeless girl outside a makeover. He also stuffs a wad of cash into a paper cup, which eventually finds its way into the girl’s hands. She of course keeps the money and goes on a shopping spree.

Plies continues to rap, providing more plot holes, “I’ll buy you stocks, buy you bonds, I can put them in your name.”

Nope. All you did was hand her a wad of cash. And instead of investing it into a savings account, or maybe paying for a deposit on an apartment, she enters the luxury shop where she buys brand name dresses, purses and a tiny puppy. Great, now there are two mouths that she cannot feed. Grand total for this one shopping spree? $10,463.

During a Chris Rock HBO special, the comedian talks about how people can become rich, but they never stay rich. Rock says, “Maybe, just maybe, if we didn’t spend all our money on rims, we might have something to invest.”

Apparently Plies didn’t see this special as he has obviously invested his money in other ventures, included diamond-encrusted handcuffs — which can be seen in the video.

And before any Plies fans get defensive of his motives — which appear to be selfless according to everything shown in the video — pay attention to the following lyric.

“If you need a lil’ paper, I can put in your bank. If you need a lil’ sex I can drop it in your tank.”

Sooooooooo... Plies is talking about prostitution. He must really like the movie Pretty Woman.

The video ends with the homeless girl leaving the luxury store with her hands full of bags. She runs after Plies car, but he takes off without her. Back to square one. Not so fast. All of a sudden, a big Rastafarian-looking guy walks up to our “Pretty Woman” and hands her a bag filled with a ton of money; marking the first time ever a guy with dreads handed someone a huge bag of money without getting some weed in return.

The video ends, and we know this because the video actually has a text overlay with the words “The End” on it, as if “She Got It Made” was some epic film.

The video and song is absurd and is entirely filled with negative influence for teenagers and young adults. The album Goon Affiliated drops on May 25th, which will surely be filled with more tracks that are equally absurd.
